I've lost everything three times. Alignment brought me back every time.
In May 2008, at 22, my first business went under. That same month, I was elected to the council. Three months later, as Lehman Brothers collapsed, I started buying property.
At 31, I was bankrupt, sleeping on my mum's floor for nine months. Eleven months later, still technically bankrupt, my team chose me to lead them. Nobody believed we could win the city. In May 2021, we did.
At the end of 2024 it all fell away again. By summer 2025 I had moved in with my dad, with nothing left but a vision of my life. I chose to honour that vision and rebuild. Every setback has brought me to a greater level of alignment. That's what I teach.
